I wouldn't recommend them at all!! Called and contacted them in the morning for a new set-up service and everything was done over the phone. They said it would connect by tonight, latest 9pm. We have been checking since then and then we called them back just about 8pm (before 9pm) and they said "oops, we forgot to send the order number". So now we're waiting until tomorrow for some electricity. They are the worst!!! I don't even think they should get any ratings.

We got our first bill from Energy Australia in a brand new house, the only power was used was the builder's tools during the construction time, about 3 months, no one lived in the house during the construction period, and there were no any electrical appliances. the bill was estimated, apparently because the meter was no accessible. the bill was 889.00 including 227.00 connection fees and about 100.00 service fees which we accept. That means the electricity consumption is about 660.00 which is impossible. On what bases this estimation was made? this is our first bill, there is no record of past bills? When I read the meter, the total consumption was about 85KWh a month after the bill was estimated. I called them and sent photos of the meter reading, the matter is not being rectified at the time of writing this review. If this matter is not rectified quickly, we will lodge a complain with the electricity and water ombudsman.

They do a lot of “guarantees” but have called through so many times. 4 days after their “guarantee power on move in” still no power. They are blaming it on the energy provider, sad.

Been with AGL, Red and Origin. We have, by far, had the worst experience with Energy Aus. Went around and around with customer services, and too many admin mistakes. If you need your electric meter removed, call 3 months in advance! Poor form.

The absolute worst customer service ever! I wasted 5 hours of my day because they failed to connect power to my apartment despite dozens of emails and texts from them confirming everything is active. One customer service representative said he couldn't help with my issue (no power connected) because it was "outside of my scope"...what the hell?!

It is one of worse service and overcharge company. It creat some item called temporary service and charge me 247 one month. When I ring few times,they said system is down and can't view my bill. Didn't apply for discount at all. 2 month I never even move in new house, they change me 360. Negative star if I can give.

I have switched our gas to Energy Australia with a promise of cheaper gas rates and discounts then the previous provider, This company is very expensive and when asked about the high bills they said you are not on the right plan and need to change to get discounts. When there is a cheaper plan available i dont understand why they put people on expensive irrelevant plans. They show no compassion especially in these tough times. All i asked is to change the plan (which they did) and maybe help adjust the rates on the current bill so we can get a discount, which they refuse to do. These are times when companies like these are expected to do the right thing but as always all they care about is your wallet and its not like they are providing any employment locally as all their call centres are all located overseas with maybe only the top brass employed here to make it look like an Aussie company. DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS PROVIDER...
