Would not recommend. Find an agency that is willing to help.

Effective People did everything to make taking up an interstate job easy. Once I finished the role, they went above and beyond to find me more work. There were some teething issues with pay slips, but otherwise they are faultless.
I am an independent contractor working in the government sector in Canberra. Due to changes in the employment relationship with the organisation I was working with, and at short notice I had to move from a payroll company to a recruiting company. Effective People organised my transfer within a couple of days, including the lease for my car. Their online training and timesheet system is excellent. They are a professional and friendly team. After a phone call interview and a meeting face to face, I was put forward for a position within the week. This was in very stark contrast with another well-known agency in Canberra, who have STILL not replied to my email application after some weeks (no phone call, no acknowledgement, no email - zero!) The team at Effective People really do go out of their way to welcome 'recruits', as well as making them feel valued and supported in their job hunting! Effective People have really looked out for me in my search for work in Canberra. They suggested that it may help if I obtained a security clearance, which they then arranged.
