The Temple here provides a place of spiritual serenity in the heart of Darwin CBD. A rustic historical charm and tranquility is complimented by interesting relics and statues warmed in the sweet waft of incense and visitors prayers.

Walking distance from CBD. Temple opened 8am to 4pm. Museum opened 10 to 2pm. Built in 1887 damaged in 1937 and rebuilt. Parking available at back. Peaceful place to learn about the Chinese presence in Darwin as well as the history of the city and its residents. The museum tour takes 1 hour. Learn and experience something different by visiting the Darwin Chinese Temple.
Laksa festival was awesome!
Quite an interesting place and the volunteers who were there were so helpful. One lady told us of her husband's family who have had 5 generations born here in Australia.
Lots of Chinese history associated with this place....museum and temple are worth a visit....
Traditional Chinese Temple. Serene, worth a visit. Behind the Caenagh Hotel.
It's a beautiful, peaceful temple to worship at and the museum is a credit to the hard work the Chung Wah society have given to documenting the very important history and recounts of the Chinese who came to Darwin.
