Perfect atmosphere, great service and awesome food. The 2 course menu with matching wines was a heap of food and worked so well. My wife had the duck ravioli for entree and to say she enjoyed them is an understatement. I think they are in her top 10 things in her life (not just food). She said it’s the best entree she’s ever had. We will definitely return. Thanks so much guys.

Lovely food and thanks to Covid, a near empty restaurant so great service. I had the scallops for entree, lamb 3 ways for main, and cheese for dessert. With the matching wines, just wonderful. My wife had the steak tartare to start, followed by the swordfish, and crème brûlée. She's not a big eater but loved every mouthful. No, it's not a cheap night out when you do the matching wines. But certainly worth it and we will be back again.

I took a small group for dinner last Friday night at Bon Vin and the food was outstanding, the wine delicious and all incredibly well priced. It is a French styled, family brasserie, filled with atmosphere. It is tricky to find on the map as it is listed on Stanley Street Darlinghurst, on the corner of Crown, but is accessed from the rear lane way off Crown. It was a treat.

Our second visit to Bon Vin on Valentine's Day was full of pleasant surprises. The 7 course menu was absolutely mind blowing! Haven't had such a satisfying meal in a long time.

Scallops were delicious, steak was nice, duck had a bad smell. I've had duck at other places and was looking forward to the duck dish here being French cuisine but was highly disappointed due to present smell. Bumped into staff at the entrance, was told our table was around the corner but didn't actually take us to our table which left us a little confused standing at the entrance, but when you actually walked inside it was a tiny room so our table was literally around the corner in the corner squashed up against the wall. Being such a small venue it got very loud as soon as the place filled up with about 20 people.

Food was absolutely amazing, and matching wines are a must. Very reasonably priced too. Service was a little slow for the mains, but definitely worth the wait.

The technique and passion coming from this kitchen is exceptional. All elements of each dish went together beautifully, Some have sweet and savoury elements, which marry together nicely. Highly recommended the pork. Finally a creme brulee honoured in its true form. The staff are lovely too, extremely friendly, professional yet not over bearing or pushy. This made the night a great night of comfort, and enjoyment. This hidden gem has put my faith back into the Sydney restaurant scene. We will be back, and telling everyone we know. Thank you
