Having sought the advice, and the counsel, of YWA being on more than several occasions to date i am pleased to relate they are never satisfied with the pedestrian explanation of any topic. Their capacity for lucid and convincing discussion is exceptional and shows the ability to grasp soundly the implications of any idea or problem. They are an admirable Association, whom are honest, thoughtful and sensitive in their dealings and responsive to advice. I wish them every satisfaction and success in their chosen field of endeavour and have every confidence in them fulfilling its demands. Cheers
I sat my Recreational Skippers Ticket last Sunday with Carl. I had a very pleasant experience. I was expecting to fill out a sheet with multiple choice questions after studying the workbook. Instead I was greeted by Carl who immediately made me feel welcome and relaxed. We started off with an introduction to the others attendees. Asking why we wanted to do the course and what vessel did we intend to use. It was all very comfortable but as time went on we were being filled with knowledge with out relieasing it was happening. The information was invaluable I learned so much in the few hours with Carl. I was reading the book for a few days and it just was repetitive and was not really sinking in. Carl covered everything in the book but some how made it all make sense. This is what you do but here is the reason why you do it this way. After the morning session 8.00 to 12.00 which flew by we had all filled out our theory test and passed because Carl had explained how what and why to every scenario before the test. All four had passed and were now ready to move on to the practical test. This stared with boat ramp etiquette. What to expect Carl explained what steps to take, have everything you need ready and in the boat all safety equipment so not to hold up other users of the ramp. We watched as Carl carried this out effortlessly. Our experience on the water was again invaluable gaining experience I never expected. Overall the course / exam was a very enjoyable experience. The course was delivered effortlessly by a very experienced instructor. I can't recommend Carl highly enough.
