Great on a hot day. Protected and shaded. Shallow swimming for the kids. Narrow beach and grassed banks. Watch for the swans and the dolphins.
Lots of people, lots of happy children, lots of space so not crowed. Excellent views across the sand beach, the boats to the city skyline. Great spot.
Great area for BBQ's and picnics. Lots of shaded areas and the kids can swimming the river. You can hire stand up paddle boards or buy an ice cream at the local cafe. Toilets close by with a function centre too. So many options. Lovely view of the city too. But get in early to secure a parking spot as the summer months get crazy busy. Don't forget to look into Sommerville movies too.
Just such a chilled place to be..great views of the city. ..
