My husband and I and our doggo stared at the northern foreshore part of Copeton Dam, just after Easter, what a great park, plenty of unpowered sites right on the waters edge, and powered sites up the top, great nice new amenities to. Tom the caretaker and his off sider Ruby were fantastic, very helpful, the park is a credit to Tom. We will definitely be back

Arrived at 2 pm, charged 12 for 'the day', despite the dam being at 6% capacity. Drove around a dam that is in very poor shape due to severe drought. Left. Not recommended at present (Dec. 2019). Great facilities in park though, and staff very friendly. Just not worth a visit until conditions improve. Sad situation, really.
