Great fish n chips. Good quality white flesh in particular snapper. I always purchase a few potato scallops. You can tell the batter is cold water based by the crunch. Very important. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Even when it is super busy which is most of the time. A good indication that the locals like this place.

Fabulous Gluten Free Burger options
I ordered a hamburger with double salad and no butter or cheese. There was butter and no extra salad. The meat patty was gross definitely not beef mince was like a processed fatty fake meat. The chips we got were nice at least.
We go there regularly and usually they're a hit, they use quality ingredients for sure but when they're a miss, which is fairly often these days, then they're a real flop. Everything is soggy and you ask for extra chicken salt and then get no salt at all, they do this a lot and that gets frustrating. The standards have dropped in recent months for sure, not sure if it's a change of owner. I tried to tell them once and they got a bit annoyed with the feedback so I've written a review instead. We keep going back because when they are good, they're the best. I'd say you have a 50/50 chance of getting a great meal here and it's a good local shop to support.
Fish was great and the chips were also. I do like long chips but the shorter ones tasted just as good. Cooroy punches above its weight for a small country town.

I have dropped in a number of times and found that the service is very good. The range of options is good and I always find the food to be satisfying and a decent serve. I will not hesitate to return.
