This is a great place to go for a walk and observe mother nature The Boardwalk keep your feet dry as you walk above the mangroves and swampland it's an easy 10 minute walk to the lookout... just make sure you bring the Aerogard and plenty of it!
A beautiful walk through the reserve and onto the wooden paths constructed over the mangroves, with a nice lookout and rest point at the end. I would really recommend doing this walk, or another of the Coombabah reserve walks. There’s never a lot of people (and I come here often) and ample parking and access. Definitely a lovely Gold Coast hidden secret.
A pleasant walk, and nice and quiet. During the week, when I went, I encountered no one else on the walk. Was plagued however by mozzies a lot, but I was prepared with a light rain jacket which helped me cover most of the top half, and had long leggings as well. It's quite a short walk from the road to the bird hide, so in terms of exercise it wasn't particularly invigorating, but there are other walks to the one I did. There are some information boards on the flora and fauna that you can read along the way.
Arrived here to find it closed due to construction, yet it said it was open.. Dont waste your time coming until construction is finished.
Good place to test insect repellent. Mozzies a plenty. Nice walk though.
I visited here on 22 Sep 19. But trail was closed due to under construction.
