Beautiful area! If you go further down passed the really packed area, down a not so straight forward dirt road you will find a less packed place that is beautiful, has public amenities and close to water. Love that there is easy access to the water so you have plenty of water activities. Everyone around there is very friendly

Expected quite a bit from the recent highly rated reviews about this campground. However, after staying a weekend here are a couple to note. 1. The place is well run down. The facilities are not well maintained, dirty and don't expect any hot showers. Access to the river can do with some maintenance and work. 2. Can get overcrowded as we were when we camped here. 3. Due to overcrowding, expect not to get some sleep throughout the night. 4. Camping spots are small and tight and you could be camping close to the dirt road so expect a lot of dust on your camp site. Not a lot of green grass at this camping ground. I couldn't imagine how muddy it can get when it rains heavily. On the hindsight, the river was awesome, great for kids and its shallow at certain times of the day. It is also nice and clean. The colour of the water that you see on reviews doesn't do justice to the actual clarity of the river water. The river can get deep in the middle of the day when we stayed. Unless the place improves, I think our last visit to this campground will be our last. The star rating goes towards the awesomeness of the river.
