I have just completed my final post operation check- up, one year after my hip replacement by Dr. Matthew Broadhead Coffs Harbour NSW based Orthopedic Surgeon . I am aged in my mid 70's but I have completely recovered to the same Gym & Bushwalking levels that existed prior to the first sign of any hip problems. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Broadhead for his excellent skills, support & ongoing service.
This hospital is the hinterland of Coffs harbour next to a clear water stream with platypus and bush turkeys - a great place to be for a double hip replacement operation, then a recovery. Everyone told me I was brave on getting both at once, but I am pleased that I did as I am feeling 30 years younger already. In my view, Dr Broadhead is an excellent world-class surgeon and his training and postgraduate reflect that. It's indeed a privilege to have such a skilled person available. Dr Broadhead's personality is such that one indeed feels confident to be in his hands. The entire staff encountered at this hospital were a credit to their industry and I feel that I was in the best care available. What more can I say than I don't think there is better care available anywhere?
From entering Dr Broadhead's surgery, a smiling Receptionist welcomes you. You immediately feel like you are important and that someone is sympathetic to your pain. Dr Broadhead genuinely cares about your well-being from the very beginning of your appointment. He is honest when discussing your issues, operation and expected outcomes. My husband had a total knee replacement and after years of pain things are moving forward. Only being 2 months out my husband is sleeping all night pain free. A wonderful result. The follow up after his operation has been exceptional. Coffs Harbour has someone extra special with Dr Matthew Broadhead moving here. Five stars was an easy choice Victor and Chrissy Capararo
It is just over 7 weeks since my operation where Dr Broadhead gave me a total hip replacement. I feel blessed that my GP recommended me to Dr Broadhead and I cannot speak more highly for what he has done for me. In the short time since the operation I am totally pain free and am simply amazed at the things I can now do where I really struggled in recent years. The whole experience I went through by having my operation at Baringa was amazing thanks to a wonderful, caring staff and great team around a surgeon whom I cannot recommend more highly. The impact you have all had on me, especially Dr Broadhead, has given this 67 year old a huge new lease on life. We are so lucky to have a surgeon like Dr Broadhead in Coffs Harbour.
I am one year post op after having an ankle reconstruction and cartilage repair. Before surgery I had pain every day which severely impacted my life. Yesterday I did 20,000 steps and rode a horse half way up a mountain with no pain or swelling. Dr Matthew Broadhead has given me my life back. I cannot recommend him highly enough!
