I took my son to the shooting range as a gift for his 12th birthday (12 is the minimum age to attend), and it was a fantastic experience for both of us, as it was something I'd also wanted to do for a very long time. After having such a great time we've both decided to get our licences and take it up as a hobby/sport. Even my wife is interested in giving it a go now. The most important thing about the whole experience is that it is very much a safe environment. You're tethered to the floor and the pistols are secured with cables, and as long as you listen to the Range Officer you're all good.

For those considering a more unique weapon, The Gunnery is the best in SA. I was looking for a .22LR in the tactical style, however my problem was that I was left handed. As there were no options available to suit my needs, Brandon, the store manager, offered to take it upon himself to see to the assembly of a full custom model, sourcing everything from the gunsmithing and left-handed conversion to the accessories and scope. The process took almost a year and Brandon was working vigorously to get it done, despite many setbacks. No matter what it was, Brandon and his team were always willing to help me out. I can't recommend them enough! Thanks Guys!

First time visit today. I needed help to store some replica guns while I sorted out the paperwork with sapol. Brandon was incredibly helpful & went through the whole process with me. They were booked in & I was given receipts for them all. From start to finish it was very friendly & professional. I'm sure this will all be sorted a lot easier than me dealing with it on my own. Well worth a visit, highly reccomend them.

Couldn't say a bad thing about the gunnery if I wanted too. If Peter is wandering through the shop he always says hi and is happy to have a quick chat if he's got time and Brandon is top bloke. Every time I head in I think to myself yup go in get what I need and go home but I always stay way longer chatting away if they aren't busy with other customers. And when my gellblaster battery was stuffed Brandon took one look and swapped it. And the lady whose name I've completely forgot is always friendly and helpful when I ring up to ask about things. 10/10 would recommend and do so if the subject of firearms ever comes up with people. Keep up the great work people. Big thumb up from your local pastafarian.
