I have finally stumbled on a day when the place is open for Sydney Biennale. I have been wanting to step foot inside this historical place. It is an interesting place with a rich history and provides a different view to the station. The place should be renovated and be open to public a bit more.

Really nice building. Well maintained and looked really interesting. Went there for the biennial that is going to be until 06/2016
You may know this grand old sandstone building at the Chippendale end of Central station. Set up as a direct line to Rookwood Cemetery - the train would stop along its saddening journey to pick up mourners The station was designed by some "man" - and not the Florence Mary Taylor featured in the mural beside the platform. (First female engineer in the colony). Always evokes a positive response - for its familiarity and - perversely - for its association with Death.
Lovely old building, very well maintained and of significance for the early colony and state
Awesome building... art exhibitions at times... worth a visit
we stumbled on this old closed down train station on the way to the white rabbit gallery. when we visited there was an art display as part of a festival which was interesting with large lit coils.
I went for the biennale, really nice and old building
