Pls be careful purchasing homewares online from HALO TREE as they dont return the items. I bought a vase online which didn't suited my place and I was hoping to get it exchanged and they denied and the reason I was given was that COVID-19 safety but if you buy in store you can return and there store is in Victoria so I should be careful buying items from them. PLS BE CAREFUL BUYING HOMEWARES ONLINE FROM THEM AS THEY DONT DO RETURNS AT ALL They will only do a return if the item is broken.

Not impressed at all and will not be going back. Website says that this shop closes at 9pm. We were in there 20 minutes before and the assistant told us that she will be closing the store in 5 minutes. Understandable maybe she wanted to go home or do the registers. When we got to the registers with four items - 4 books. We asked the assistant if she had a book which didn’t have the plastic on it. She had a look around the shop and came back and told us that there wasn’t an open one. Question for the business - Well how do you buy a book without seeing what’s inside? When we asked whether it was possible to open the plastic and have a look before purchasing the assistant said it wasn’t company policy. Fair enough she was young and following rules but the attitude was not appreciated. Here we were ready to spend our money the lack of respect for the customer request was infuriating. We were not rude and simply mentioned how does one buy before opening. She “scoffed’ like it was such an effort and said ‘it’s just that we are closing’. This was at 8:46pm (store said it closes at 9pm). We ended up spending close to 80 for 3 books, the fourth one we left behind because the attitude we got. Retail is suffering, it is easier to shop online and it’s cheaper. But we primarily shop in store unnecessary incidents like these demonstrate the lack of action by management on keeping up high level of customer service to those people that choose to shop in store. To the assistant just remember that customers pay your wage and try and be more polite and keep your attitude at home.

What a great find, lovely assistant on Saturday, very good selection of goods and presents, found a few things, a bag, some stationary, very happy and will return again, one lady came back twice while we were there.
