The arancini and iced latte I ordered, really hit the spot, and the food that my parents ordered, looked amazing. I love walking into Brunetti and feeling like I've just entered a sweet and savoury paradise. No trip to Melbourne is complete for me without at least 1 stop in at this place.

As soon as I stepped in this establishment, my heart skipped a beat - I honestly have never found this kind of places anywhere else but in Italy and I was very excited to try some of the pastries/food. While of course the taste was not exactly as being in Italy, it was close enough to give Brunetti a 4 stars, if anything, just for the ambiance. I wish they opened a Brunetti in Sydney, that would be amazing.

I've been coming to Brunetti's since the 80's. One of my favourite cafes. If you're after authentic Italian cakes & biscuits, come here!

A favourite haunt revisited. Food menu for eat-in currently limited to takeaway shown in cabinet and on the pizzas menu board (see photos). Chose a mushroom and cheese pizza slice from the cabinet, very delicious and light, 'tho it must have been at least twelve inches long! Recommended. Love the buzz of this place.

Friday late afternoon. Sunny, cool outside in Lygon St. B not too crowded. Relaxed. Great range of pizza, bakes and grills. Served by delightful pastries waiter called Miranda. I would love a daughter called Miranda. Shakespeare must have come here for coffee when writing The Tempest.

Probably one of the worst tirramisu I've tasted basically all cream and I paid 14 for the privellige, my daughter was similarly disappointed with a chocolate sphere filled with caramel that looked amazing but that's where it ended. Maybe I'll go back to try a few of the biscuit selections which looked good but can't imagine trying any more cakes.

Not what it used to be... Cake at 9 a slice was nice but I was very unimpressed by the service from start to finish. Coffee & cake were ordered from then picked up in 2 different places from impolite staff at both counters. Cappucino was flat, tepid & no choc dusting, 'hot' soy choc was actually cold & in a small cup not mug. Table we sat at was dirty, as we left staff took the cups/plates but left a dirty table for next customer.

Always buzzing and open late. However, coffee is hit and miss and food is on the expensive side for what you get. The atmosphere, location and ability to easily spend some time alone or with friends makes Brunettis always worth returning to.
