It was a regular twice weekly lunch joint ever since the restaurant opened its doors in Canberra, so it has been many years. Food and service haven't been so great the last few times we ate there. Eg ordered a special duck dish once, supposedly a quarter of a duck but was served a few pieces of duck skin on bone. I know what a quarter of a duck looks like, I've made a few duck dishes myself. Food and service reached a new height the last time we attempted to eat there. Incredibly rude and abrasive new waitress that thinks ordering customers around is the norm. We were given a stack of menus but quite a few dishes weren't available. That's ok but then was told even mocha is unavailable? Looks like they've already ran out of the special flavoured sugar powder at early lunch. We went to eat at another favourite lunch joint, was served fresh and tasty food and out of there in 30 minutes. Maybe the restaurant has too many customers and needs less business? They've certainly suceeded. I prefer to eat at places where the food is fresh without annoying waitstaff.
Solid experience there. tasty food and quick service. v.consistent experience every time I go there.
Second time in 6 years going here and they have improved a lot during that time. The food is fabulous, the staff is friendly and overall a really good place to visit all the time. I accidentally left my coat on the seat and left. One of the staff members came running to me returning the coat back!! Amazing Restaurant
Awesome Malaysian cuisine. I went there twice, and both times I was left extremely delighted with the food. Various types of Malaysian food is available, and it's often a difficult choice while ordering. Due to its popularity, this restaurant is almost always crowded, so there's a little waiting time involved. Drinks, main course, desserts; all of the food I tried was extremely delicious. Due to the crowd, the service is a bit messy but that's expected. Highly recommended restaurant.
A regular haunt, but the last couple of times I haven't enjoyed the meal so much. The newish menu item, forgot its name, a soupy-rice dish didn't appeal at all and I left it behind. There was grit in the meal from the seafood. Were we spaced for covid safety? Don't know... but I'd rather more room these days and won't be heading back for quite some time now.
We were looking forward to some authentic Malaysian food, but we were a little disappointed. There was 3 of us and we all had different dishes and we all found the food a bit bland. It seems to be a popular place, so others clearly have different taste to us.
Good food with great taste. I liked the special nasi gorek. Serving fast.
