Saw this 'dermatologist' in 2020 for a condition (suspected dermatitis) that was not improving after using the typical over-the-counter topical creams (Daktarin, Canesten, Nizoral), as well as prescription corticosteroid creams and ointments (Advantan and Eluphrat). I was quite specific in how these creams and ointments actually exacerbated and severely inflamed the condition I was suffering (and still suffering) from. His solution? Oh, this is definitely a form of eczema so try 'Resolve Plus 1.0' and use moisturiser daily. I hadn't used Resolve Plus 1.0 before (didn't even know what its active ingredient is). So 200 later for the consult fee (which, mind you, I have absolutely no problem paying a a specialist for) I bought Resolve Plus 1.0. I immediately realised it is basically Daktarin (miconazole nitrate) coupled with hydrocortisone... the 2 things I specifically told him exacerbated and severely inflamed my condition. It seems you have to be your own mechanic, doctor, lawyer, plumber and even dermatologist these days if you want someone to listen to what you're saying. Is there actually a decent specialist in Canberra who bloody well listens???
