I’ve sent a referral form 3 months ago for my partner, and we’ve been told the wait time is 8-10 weeks for the appointment and that we’ll get a call once the appointment is set. (I left both of our contact numbers to make sure they can contact us). In these 3 months, I’ve called at least 10 times to follow up (every week or 2) as nobody called back, just to be told every time that the referral is with the doctor and the lady at the reception says always she’ll “personally follow up”. I’ve called last week AGAIN after 3 months, and every time I’m told exact same thing, and I already tell them how the conversation is going to end, but they always act surprised. This is getting way too ridiculous, because now my partner is in trouble as he needs his medication, just because they can’t even call back, or at least say we cannot get the appointment to call somewhere else, which is now too late. Don’t understand how someone working in mental health clinic cannot understand what situation they put people in by being so unprofessional and forgetting to do their job while someone’s health depends on it. Completely disappointing.

Do not see Dr. Abhishek Nagesh I found this individual to lack basic interpersonal skills let alone a medical "bedside manner." Never bothered to establish any rapport, only ever made eye contact with his clipboard and at no point felt like he treated me as a human. He also kept referring to me in third person as my sister was also in the room. Perhaps has a good theoretical knowledge of psychiatry however the lack of people skills acts a as genuine barrier to assisting anyone. At one point he even said he initially did not want to take me as a patient as most people with psychosis refuse treatment and its not worth his time. Can you imagine being told during your appointment! a nightmare.
Northside hospital is such a fantastic facility. That I have ever had the privilege to stay at. The staff were amazing. So caring & full of empathy. Excellent food. I highly recommend this hospital.
The staff and facilities are wonderful. I am so grateful that a place like this is there when you need it the most. The nurses are caring and understanding and always there when you need them. Even the cleaning and kitchen staff always go out of their way to make you comfortable. Dr Bisht, you are a Godsend. Thank you to everyone
I Cannot recommend Northside Macarthur enough after having several admissions. ALL staff, from the extremely knowledgeable and experienced Psychiatrists and Psychologists, to the amazing nursing staff who show in their actions that they genuinely care, want to help and assist in your recovery and that nothing is too much trouble and are always approachable. From the moment you are in contact with the Northside Macarthur clinic (which can be a daunting process in regards to any mental health clinical admission) the Easy Access/Admissions team provide you with all information needed and an environment that assists in making you feel safe, secure and welcomed from the moment you walk in the door (as do the receptionists and administration staff who always have a welcoming smile on their face and also assist where they can). Nothing is too much hassle for any of the staff - even the house keeping and kitchen staff are always polite and will help in any way they can. On top of all of this, both the NUM and Director of Clinical Services make themselves available for all patients if for any reason you need to discuss anything with them which I have not found in other mental health facilities. I cannot praise Northside Macarthur Clinic enough and would not consider going elsewhere if I needed further mental health support and assistance
great staff and well above average food, Does not have a section for ptsd though and need to go to an external gym for exercise.
I was a nursing student attending placement here and I must say that the staffing and facilities of the clinic were outstanding and far beyond the expectation of a mental health clinic.
Knowledgeable Management, Staff, Doctors even the Maintanace and Kitchen teams are caring, Compassionate and respectful, I have never felt so safe anywhere else outside of my family home and the whole team at Northside Clinic Macarthur
