Sometimes you come across the most amazing things when you are not looking for them. This happened to me a few weeks ago as I was nosing around the Friday market at Wollongong. I wasn’t looking for a wine rack and my arms were growing tired of carrying bags of fruit, vegetables and home baking...... and then I came across a small stall set up by el deco design. They had a wine rack on display and it called out to me. A lovely sleek, modern, industrial design. I didn’t know I wanted a wine rack until I saw theirs on display. I knew it would fit perfectly into my new apartment. I couldn’t buy it there and then as my arms were full already but I took their business card. I contacted them a few days later and they honoured the market stall price - even though on their website it was more expensive. And, they delivered it to me today as they had a stall at the Bulli markets. The company is run by two young men. One designs and makes the products while the other has marketing/business skills. Just LOVE their stuff!
