We have been going to Burke Road Veterinary Clinic since 2009 and the care and empathy and real love of animals emanates from the place. Everyone there is welcoming, happy to answer any question and always up for a chat. The vets are very professional and offer excellent service. We hope our association the practice continues for a long time.

Incredibly compassionate and extremely experienced and knowledgeable staff at this practice. The vets and the nurses alike were empathetic yet clearly knew their stuff. I only went there as my vet couldn’t fit me in and this practice was near my house. I was astounded how caring they were and they even followed up the next day to see how my dog was! Our giant breed dog has been coming to Burke Rd Vet for about three years, and we love it! She’s had every type of ailment - ear and skin infections, arthritis, limping, teeth cleaning, torn dew claw, tail amputation...and she’s seen every vet and nurse in the practice. Each visit is a great experience, she’s always happy to see everyone, and she’s recovered from each issue beautifully. We feel especially fortunate to go to Burke Rd Vet as Semi was recently diagnosed with Addison’s disease. It’s an extremely rare disease with symptoms typical of many other dog illnesses (lethargy, lack of appetite, diarrhoea) so it often gets misdiagnosed, which can lead to death. Fortunately Dr. Mel knew what to look for and determined the presence of the disease within just a few hours, and Semi was already on fluids. She has made a brilliant recovery and we have our big old gal back to normal! We also had a cat that visited the practice for urination problems and vaccinations and we had a great experience with her as well. The staff are amazing - they’re very thorough in their exams and follow-up, extremely knowledgeable across their field, and they have a great team dynamic. They’re also willing to answer the millions of questions I have, incredibly kind to Semi and my kids, and they even file the insurance forms too!
Big thanks to the team at Burke Road Vet, Noodle my 9.5 year old Schnoodle had his second operation there on Tuesday and he has recovered so well, it’s a tough time seeing your dog go under anaesthetic but I was briefed really well, updated and I can’t believe how well he is and only 48 hours on!
We brought our Border Collie in to see Bec recently for a general check up at Burke Road Veterinary clinic and were very happy with the advice and service we got. Bec with the support of her team was very knowledgeable and able to give us what's considered best practice advice, as well helping us understand the pros and cons of the advice and how we can apply that best within the boundaries of our means and lifestyle. We left feeling confident with the advice given that our dog is in good health, and we have a great team there to help us should the unexpected happen.
