I bought a fridge freezer from Kings May 2018 (manufactured by Evakool.) I use the fridge once a year over the xmas break. December 2018 it worked fine. December 2019 the fridge was taken for re-gas. December 2020 NOT working again. Required gas but was advised by repairer at Slacks Creek that the leakage was a major fault of the motor etc. Evacool was approached by the repairer for warranty, they decline to honor any form of product acceptance. Leave this everyone, that if you buy a camping fridge from a recognised seller as soon as there is an issue they will step away from any warranty claim. They will refer you to the manufacturer. Suggest all purchasers to buy a camp fridge where the warranty is via the actual purchaser.
Great people. Small showroom full of 12v fridges, parts essentials for 12v fridges, a bit of Solar stuff. Staff very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Loads of 2nds to choose if you want. Hayley is awesome
We purchased an Evacool D210 fridge/freezer and have had nothing but hassles with the thermastat. The staff have been not very helpful and you have to wait 3 weeks for the repairs to be completed even when it has been booked in. The open hours are still at Covid level when everyone has gone back to normal trade. We would definately not buy any Evacool products in the future and would not recommend them for anyone. Sorry we ever had to deal with them
Customer service is non-existent at Evakool!!! Purchased a TMDZ Fridge 5 months ago, after multiple delays received the fridge a month and half later after purchase. I used the brand new fridge for 4 weeks before i had an issue which i had to take to a local service agent, 3 months in their possession due to delays in Evakool sending out parts and it was established a fault with the fridge. Requested a refund which Evakool were reluctant to provide as their policy is Repair or Replace, eventually got a refund after 5 months of purchase! I will avoid Evakool at all costs and wont recommend to others.
Customer service needs improvement. Was told that fridge would be delivered within a few days as we are local, 10 days later we had to contact company as it had not arrived and then organise to collect it ourselves as they could not guarantee delivery by date we had organised for it to be installed in van. Office girl had misspelt our name (although she’d been handed credit card) and failed to email through receipt of purchase.
