Booked for the Valentines Dinner . Turned up and they checked our name off the list. All tables had reserved signs with names on them but they had trouble finding our table, eventually they did. We also saw some guests being walked back and forth with Staff looking for the relevant tables for them. Eventually the Staff removed the names from all tables and told guests to sit where they like. The Staff were doing the best they could buy some guests were waiting a while before they got offered a drink. The food was delivered to tables in a haphazard order which meant first in did not necessarily get food first. When the food finally came it was disappointing to say the least, not nearly enough for 2 people . Definitely not worth the money. As for the club itself the drinks are the dearest in the area by far. Also the gaming room is ridiculously dark. Not sure why but please put some lights on. There are a lot of elderly people who were having trouble seeing and the chairs are so heavy i had to help a number of the patrons move them. Sorry but there are better places to go . Wont be going back.
Spent a lot of time here as an 18-21 year old in Caloundra back in the day, many hazy memories. Been coming here recently for lunch a few tines with my grandma who lives in the retirement village down the road, and it's always a great meal, cooked well and for a good price! She always enjoys the fish and chips and the parmys, steaks, calamari etc are good too.
A nice place overall but after hearing a lot about the reputation as a leading club, I was a little disappointed. To be clear, there was nothing really wrong with the place, just nothing spectacular. A friend and I had 2 of the parmigianas. He said his was good, but less than great. Mine was the traditional and it was pretty good. Nice thick bit of chicken with a crispy outside, good smoky ham, not too much cheese and the nap sauce had the right amount of herbs, if just a little bland. However, 27 makes it an expensive parmi. Drinks are not cheap either but one kind of accepts that the profits are going to an RSL so you have to weigh that up. The venue is clean so they get full marks there. The most outstanding part is the kids club which really helps parents have a quiet meal for an hour or so. This is probably where the value of the club is. Overall, I would go back there if in the area.
A great place to bring large groups of people. Food and service is good, but order as soon as you get there, it can take some time when busy. I always order starters for the table which is brought out quickly and keeps us happy while waiting for the mains.
Great place to take your kids. Have a good meal and blow your money on the pokies. Good luck.
