Dined here last night. Mel seated me at my table while I waited for a friend. I had my eye on another table and asked Mel if she could move me once the men at the table were done and she said yes. The decor is very modern and very comfortable. The staff all had masks and were quite attentive. It was extremely clean and my argileh arrived soon after I ordered it. Once the table I requested was available Mel sanitised it and assisted me by moving my argileh to the new table. The food was spot on. Absolutely delicious and can’t fault a thing. The servings were very large too that I couldn’t even finish my meal. The thing that really impressed me the most was Mel’s professionalism and assistance. I watched how she tended to every customers need. She’s very well spoken and polite and a real asset to La Plaka. I really hope someone from management sees this review and acknowledges it by doing something nice for her. Can I kindly request a bell to be placed at the registers as we waited about 4-5mins for someone to come so we can pay the bill. Apart from that everything was wonderful and we enjoyed our visit. Highly recommended.

Been to the restaurant about 3 times and had a great time all the time. The restaurant has an open venue with both indoor and outdoor dining. The food is really good. We were served by a very friendly waitress, she was quite friendly and helpful. I ordered a Mediterranean platter and the quantity was great. Thank you.

The restaurant does look lovely and the staff are efficient most of the time. What I don't appreciate is being served food that was unpleasant and bringing it to the attention of the manager (and the chef) and then seeing it on my bill. Most places would take it off the bill (as a former waiter I can attest to this from working at many restaurants and cafes) since it was not eaten. I feel that if this had been the outcome I would have since returned. Despite living in area I have never come back. 2 stars reflect the staff being courteous. The chef could learn to accept criticism. If the pasta is saturated in oil then trust your patrons will bring it to your attention.
The restaurant layout and furniture are outstanding. The food was nice. Service was quick and staff friendly.
Was my first time coming here and experienced nothing but impeccable service. Yummy halal dishes on offer and will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
Delicious food and excellent service! We highly recommend the Zucchini Flowers entree. So good!! Thanks La Plaka for an excellent anniversary dinner. We had such a lovely time.
The recommendation of the dishes from Anthony were superb! The flavours would simply melt in your mouth and all staff were attentive and friendly. An unforgettable dining experience and will definitely come back
