Great food, great service, and a massive selection of Japanese sake and whiskey. So much fun to try all the foods and drinks with friends, would highly recommend for groups!! Food was amazing and the staff were amazing at helping us choose dishes and drinks. Thanks Steven and the team at Oi Izakaya for a great night.

Great restaurant in Burleigh. Had the tasting menu with matching sake, which was really delicious. Followed this with a matcha cheesecake and a chocolate souffle for dessert. Also the staff were really great. This place comes recommended.

Only been here once but we reckon you can't go wrong with any item on the menu! It was busy but even without a booking we managed to nab a table for a short time and the food was quick and fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

We had the Osaka set menu. 42pp. 5 of us. The food was very average, greasy and heavy. It lacked the freshness, usually associated with a Japanese meal, because very little was fresh. It was a lot of stodge and almost every course (excluding miso and cucumber starter) was coated in the same smoke flavour and way way too much mayo. The protein in the final course which was the udon was minimal to non existent, it was big bowls of greasy noodles again covered in brown sauce and mayo. The pancake was the same, very stodgy covered in the brown smokey sauce of the past few courses and a heap of Mayo. While service was slow as it was a busy night the service was good and the servers polite and efficient which was the best thing about the night. We wouldn’t recommend the Osaka set menu or return. 2 stars for the service but the poor food course after course makes it hard to give it anything more than this.

Stephen runs the place like clockwork. The food is amazing, the service exceptional and the choice of wines, beer and other drinks perfectly compliments the cuisine. Great food, great food a good night out

Loved it here. The interior was so inviting and relaxing. Perfect for groups or couples. The bar staff made fantastic drinks and cocktails. I had the okonomiyaki and it was amazing. Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough. Oh and an even bigger bonus the staff were lovely and the prices were super reasonable. Won't regret booking a table here.

I have not been to Japan however friends that have say the food is authentic. I have enjoyed my visits to Oi Izakaya! I start with a cocktail then choose the banquet so I get a great selection of meals.
