Shameful & misleading quote for service by a staff member. I purchased 3 shirts from a shop in the Grand Plaza Shopping Centre at Browns Plains QLD. The cost of each shirt was 15, as the shirts were quite loose around the waist. I went to this store and asked how much it would cost to run a stitch line up each side of the shirts so that the waist was 50 mm narrower. The man who served me looked at the shirts, put some pins in. I then asked how much would it cost. He told me that it was 3.00 per shirt & it would cost a total of 9.00, I said "great" and paid up front. Instead I was charged 90 for the 3 shirts on my credit card instead. That of course is 30 per shirt, if I had been told at the point of sale that the cost would be 90 instead of 9.00. I would have said, "No thank you" and walked away as anyone would, who was told the price would be 90. So as a result, my 15 shirts now have cost me 45. At the very slowest it would have taken no more than 10 minutes to alter each shirt. So that means 90 for less than 30 minutes work. That is robbery plain & simple! I spoke to the Head Office in Melbourne as per the instructions on their web site & the woman I spoke to was full of lame excuses. When I asked to clarify a point she said, "Too bad for you"! & hung up in my ear. This is shameful & directly misleading action by the staff member at this store. When asked him about this issue face to face. He said, "I only work here one day a week, too bad, ring the manager"! So I rang the manger of that store using the mobile number list on that store's site. Low & behold I got the same man that I had just spoken to at the store! I will find a way to speak to the manager directly to solve this injustice and will not stop until I do, this is a guarantee!!!!!

Wouldn't recommend this place. They are HIGHLY overpriced. They tried to charge 80 to replace a broken Zipper and issued that it would be ready for pick up in 2 weeks Pathetic. EDIT: I'd say it again, this place is terrible mostly PATHETIC. Don't quote me have a nice day when you know you exactly about your screw up. Don't quote me about COVID initiative when I had come in before Covid protocols had been put in place. You're really pulling that sorry excuse? PATHETIC. I know what happened that day and that sorry lady at the counter knows too. You are overpriced and understaffed clearly. Don't claim others to educate themselves when you clearly aren't. PATHETIC store, PATHETIC management, PATHETIC staff, PATHETIC pricing.

We put a suit into be altered pants legs and jacket arms. Having never had a suit altered before we are very disappointed in the service as the arms are different lengths, as he didn’t measure both arms at the time of putting it in and as most people have slightly different arm lengths it doesn’t look right...also the lining is not flush either! Took it back to a big NOT OUR PROBLEM!!! Well it is! you should measure both arms/legs when you do the measurements! Or explain at first measurement!

First time using Alterations Now for dry cleaning. Dropped off a suit and cardigan on a Monday morning. Told to pickup Friday that same week. Went to collect Friday afternoon. Items not there. No apology. Told to come back Monday. Went back Monday afternoon. Items still not there. Told to come back tomorrow (Tuesday). Went in Tuesday morning at 10.15am. Store closed! Sat around for half an hour. Noone arrived to open store. I called their general telephone number and the call was answered by Centre Management. They advised me that they had neen alerted by other customers who also arrived to the store to find it closed when in fact the store should be open during core business hours. Centre Management apologised and said they were investigating. I left and went home to Marsden. Centre Management called me at 11.30am to advise me that staff had arrived to the store. I went back to collect my drycleaning. Guess what? ...... my items still, had not arrived back from the cleaners. Told to come back Thursday!!! I went back on the Friday and thankfully, my items had arrived! 2 weeks to receive drycleaning!!!!! Obviously, I will never use Alterations Now ever again!!!

I needed a pair of curtains shortened & hemmed. They are about 3 inches different in length! I put them up when I got home and they look totally ridiculous. Now I will need to take them back down & get them fixed - probably for another 30!

Absolute thieves. Put a very expensive formal dress in to be dry cleaned. Said pick up the next week Monday and had to pay up front. Went Monday and they said come back Tuesday with no apology. Went back Tuesday still no dress and no explanation. Went back today, Wednesday and still no dress. Called the dry cleaners direct and they said they only received it today. Also diamanté’s broken and fallen off. Let the battle begin.
