The JBS Brooklyn Cold Store is the largest cold store facility in the JBS Australia Southern Division. The cold store has 13 loading docks and currently has a holding capacity of approximately 4,000 frozen pallets and 1,400 chilled pallets over four separate cold rooms in a combination of five-high, double-deep and six-high, single-deep racking configurations. The cold store turns over approximately 180,000 cartons weekly and employs approximately 51 JBS team members in the dispatch and warehousing areas. The Brooklyn Cold Store receives fresh lamb and beef products from the on-site JBS Brooklyn processing plant on a daily basis and distributes fresh and frozen product to both domestic and international export markets. Brooklyn serves as a hub for the JBS abattoirs in the Southern region, accommodating their surplus production for both blast freezing and storage.
