My 2 y.o loved it because the planes fly right over you. Sometimes there are photographers getting cool shots. At the moment, with COVID, I guess it would be pretty dull, but just before that the planes came in thick and fast.

There are usually parking spots available so its an easy walk to the viewing area. There are airshows that are held at the airport every so often, and thats when you may find it difficlut to get a park near the viewing area. If you want to see over the fence you will need to bring your own ladder. Even without a ladder you get a good view of the planes taking off and landing. If you put your camera to the wire fence, you should find a gap that allows you to take pretty good photo.

Nice little hideaway where one can get unclosed and personal to some planespotting. Even if one didn't have a passion for this, still worth a least one visit

Such a lovely view. Great to bring kids to for something different.

Great place for plane spotting. Make sure you bring a high ladder in order to get over the fences if you are taking photos of the aircraft. There is no shade around the main spotting location, so it can be hot to spend long times at this spotting location, so it's better to go later into the afternoon to avoid this. Parking is available around the loop road that is connected to the spotting deck. There is also no bathrooms or places to get food and drinks at the actual deck, with the nearest place being the Brisbane Airport Service centre, so make sure that you are prepared and have water and possibly a snack for while you are there. For photography of the aircraft, light is best in the afternoon. If the active runway is runway 19, you still see the planes touch down and take off directly in front of you. If runway 01 is active, landing planes will not be visible but you will have a great view of planes that are taking off. Overall a good place for plane spotting but make sure you are prepared and know other spotting location options.

Always nice to visit here. At this time, with Covid around the world...2020, not many flights at this time! With the new runway, planes are hard to see, taking off and landing, due to the elevation and landscaping! Nice to visit anyway

A Great Place To Go Spotting. I Recommend A Ladder, I Stood On The Bench For A Better View. Minimum Of 12x Zoom Is Recommended. Takeoffs And Landings Are Excellent In That Area, But If Winds Change And Becomes 01 Operations, Takeoffs Are The Best But I Suggest Moving Down To The Aviation Australia Building.
