Nice turn around point if riding the Sandgate/ Brighton foreshore or continuing on along the Deagon Deviation. The original art deco bridge portal has been retained and is now a viewing platform over North Pine River mouth and the newer Houghton Highway.

It's a bridge, yes. But you get to see the remains of the bridge that was torn down, the bridge that replaced it, and the newer bridge... Side by side. Lots of parking, easy walk.
Too many people with dogs off leash. No taps for washing hands working at all. Best part was the locals fishing, they didn't leave any rubbish or mess behind. Well done guys.
Love riding along this has a spot halfway along .. u could stop and honestly have a picnic ..or just fish
Fantastic place for biking, walking, skating, etc. It's a long 3 km to reach the other side and than back, great workout and fantastic views
