Few bakeries in town but tried this one as wanted to try the pumpkin pie. Sounded interesting and didn't disappoint. Had a Thai curry pie with it. Both pies were tasty. Little on the pricey side at 7.00 a pie. Outdoor and indoor seating. Good view of the mountains. Very friendly staff.

Hands down the BEST steak and pepper pie I've ever had!! The filling is amazing / awesome quality meat chunks, tender and a good size. The absolute best pie / awesome on a chilly day. I absolutely love it when a group of people choose one product line to focus on like this, and perfects it without distracted with a whole bunch of other offerings. Keep up the fantastic work guys!!
I love my pies and they are always my go to meal for a quick bite. We went past Gum Tree Pies in Bright and it was very busy so decided to try one. I had the chicken and mushroom and I can honestly say it was one of the best pies I have had. It was tasty, well spiced, no skimping on the filling and the pastry was perfect. I can see why the place was busy. Lucky I don’t live here otherwise I would not be able to control myself
Beautiful pies, great coffee and great staff. Have now tried both Bright & Yackandanda cafes and certainly not disappointed. Taking a 6 pack home.
Really nice to have quality pies made with care. The range of pies was great. The sweet menu was okay, but unfortunately not up to scratch with taste.
Visited the place on our way back from bright and it was more of experiment but the pies turned out really amazing. They had ran out of pumpkin pies and the only vegetarian option left was creamy cauliflower and it was absolutely amazing. Ended up going back for two more.

Bright is such a quaint adorable historical town. Looking for a quick bite and no fuss? Gum Tree Pies is located at 2A Anderson St, Bright VIC. It is not quite on the main street but well worth a little jaunt to explore the various shops along the way to get to it. Clean, bright glass shop windows with friendly cheerful welcoming staff. There are a wide range of choices. Truly delicious and worthy of a great review.
