What a great place. Staying here during the cyclone, camped in two caravans between the 150year old farm buildings. No one else here, safe as houses. Belinda is fantastic, and so helpful. Great coffee and beautiful breakfast. Will stay again

Rustic, charming and simple campground approx 4hrs north of Perth. The grounds contain a group of buildings that show how people lived in the 1860s. They are pretty intact and you can visit the homestead which is set up like a museum and contain old antiques and furnishings. My friends found this place because they saw it on some ghost busters website. Unfortunately the homestead was closed to a dust storm and now to an electrical fault. (Yay, no ghost hunting for me). There’s a small cafe that opens 8-2 where you can have scones and Devonshire tea but we passed on the opportunity because they were frozen and warmed up and we preferred freshly baked. Theres a fire pit from 5pm... roast some marshmallows and sit back for a yarn. The camp kitchen is basically a well equipped shed. There’s 1 female shower and 3 toilets. I’m sure there’s the same male facilities. All in all its good and OK for what you pay to stay there.
Amazing views Buildings from 1850 just awesome to see them still standing, when you build things right they last, it's like walking back in time, heaps of fresh air open space to take in, horses to help you see more of the farm, I haven't had a chance to enjoy the food, everyone who came was pleased and happy so must be good, I have to go back and have some food and coffee and soak in the calmness No sound of trucks cars much of anything bar the wild life. Peace of Australian farming history
We had a Great stay, only stopped for one night. The facilities were good. Tearoom was lovely. Great coffee and breakfast. Fantastic service with smiles Thank you Oakabella
Amazing scones! Beautiful scenery and buildings. Great stop off, will definitely be back :)
Great location but tea rooms closed on Easter Monday didn't make sense
Would loved to have been able to look through the homestead but it was all locked up and the cafe was closed
We had an awesome overnight stay @ Oakabella Homestead when returning home from the NW a few weeks ago. 18km's south of Northampton on the NW Coastal Hwy and just 2.5km's off the blacktop on a very good gravel road. Un-powered sites in a paddock (take some form of leveling for your camper trailer / van) with well appointed, clean bathrooms. Take your own firewood - firepits are available on most 'sites' if you don't have your own. Scones and coffee in the morning and truly great in the cafe - the other food look awesome. A walk around the homestead is truly worthwhile. The old manor house was closed when we went through but will reopen again soon. We'll definitely be back.
