Best mechanic in the Eastern Suburbs hands down. I have been using Bondi Mechanics for years now - great people, great service, and quality work. It's rare to find such a quality shop

Highly recommend these guys. I left my car at the shop for a rego inspection and service. They called me with a report and price estimate and were very efficient. They're trustworthy and I felt secure which is not always the case in these instances!

Bill and Bob were amazing. I brought them my Hyundai and they did a traffic job. They gave all options that were available to solve my issue and with great prices. Highly recommend these guys.

Do not take your car here for an e-safety check unless you enjoy jumping through imaginary hoops. These guys failed me twice, and both times on different rules. In the end I took it somewhere else and they passed it on the spot. If they tell you your tyres all have to be the same brand, don't listen to them. This is a made up rule

HUGE MARKUP ON PARTS, BE WARNED!!! Was forced to pay almost 700 for a MAF sensor that a Jeep dealership quoted 360 for! Last Sunday my Jeep Cherokee broke down in the Central Coast and I had it towed back to Bondi. Being a Sunday and all mechanics closed I couldn't call ahead and so had to rely on a google search. I decided to go for Bondi Mechanical based on their reviews and they were close to my house. They were very helpful and said they would be able to have a look at my car on Tuesday. I received a phone call and was informed that the Mass Airflow sensor was faulty and had to be replaced, and that a replacement part would cost just shy of 700. I had no option really as he car wasn't running and so had to accept. After the call I searched online and and found multiple MAF sensors for sale ranging from 90 on eBay to 240 from Automotive Superstore. I called back to query the price and was told that I was looking at generic parts, and that they had fitted an original part (I still need to remove it to check that it is indead original). I tried getting a price from Jeep over the phone but had no luck. I picked up my car, begrudgingly paid the exorbitant price and drove off. I went straight to a Jeep dealership and asked them for a quote on a genuine MOPAR part, they quoted me 360!!! Moral of my story, don't just accept the quoted prices, call around and check before as you will be ripped off.

Asked for a major service according to the logbook, explicitly pointing out the requirement for a transmission oil change. Was called and told that the brakes needed changing as well. Stated that I wanted the quote for the service and not the brakes. Was told that it would be 850 'for everything except the brakes'. Found out afterwards that the transmission oil was not changed. Effectively paid 600 for a minor service (about 250 was for other minor items) - way overpriced. Bizarrely it would have actually been cheaper from VW themselves. They also drain the oil before they call you with a quote, so you have no other option than to go with them at that point. They also wrote in my logbook that the next service was due in 9,100 kms, when the vehicle manufacturer states that it is every 15,000km. Avoid.
