Bicycle riding awersomeness... excellently maintained bicycle trail, flat, easy to ride, with a variety of landscape, picturesque views, lots of history, photo opportunities, etc... I have now done the full length... don't go there between Sep and Dec during the magpie breeding season but other months is just amazing.

Starts close to Farmhouse Cafe at Yarraman where you can get a great coffee before or after your trek.

Nicely run family business with well maintained carts. The the track has been largely resurfaced and is great quality with plenty to keep you interested and challenged. A time sheet is provided after your session so you can see how well (or bad!) you have done. We had a great time!

This was a fun and not too challenging two days of moderate riding (4-5 hours a day). I wouldn’t like to do it in temperatures above 25 degrees though. There are some decent gullies (where the old bridges are) that require steep climbing for short periods, and there are long times in the sun. Get a heavily padded seat, don’t carry too much weight, make sure you are well fitted to your bike and have comfortable accom planned.

Nice ride, lots of sharp rocks- be prepared with extra tubes and water

A lot of work has gone into the trail since I last did it 8 years ago. The improved crossings at the old bridge locations and cattle grids at each fence line are great. The best section for me is Yarraman down to Linville.

We have now ridden the BVRT in both directions end to end twice. We absolutely loved the trail. The signage and amenities along the trail are awesome.
