Dr. Byrne was very thorough in his explanation of my condition ( spondylolisthes of L4/L5 vertebrae) which was causing significant sciatica, & what the options were. We also discussed how surgery had progressed over recent years, such that I was put at ease that another operation had a high chance of success. This proved to be the case, & I am now pain free & drug free & moving normally. My condition has improved dramatically & I am very grateful for the excellent result.

How good is this guy?! He is absolutely amazing - from the very first consultation to post operation, he can not be faulted. I have nothing but admiration and praise for Dr Byrne and his staff. I was 18 when Dr Byrne operated on my Chiari Malformation in my brain. Not even 6 months post op and I literally would not be here if it weren't for Dr Byrne and his level of excellence in his field. There is no other neurosurgeon I would recommended more highly than Stephen Byrne. The level of care, compassion and thoroughness shown by him and his staff is top quality.

Dr Byrne performed a C4/5 Discectomy and Fusion on me in early October. I was fully briefed on the outline of the procedure and possible problems that may occur. Following the procedure, I was relieved to be totally pain free - instant relief. Post operative check up information and the 'hello how are you going' calls were much appreciated. I have nothing but praise for him and his team and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of neurosurgery.

Dr Byrne performed an operation to remove a cyst which was pressing on a nerve in the L4/5 causing pain down my right leg. After extensive scans and an MRI, Dr Byrne explained how the procedure would help. He was very clear in his explanations and made sure I understood what was being done. He and his team put me a ease on the day. All went well and I'm now pain free.

I had a spinal fusion of L5 to S1 to alleviate the constant pain I was suffering in my lower back. The operation was successful and I am now back at work without the need for constant pain medication. Coming in with almost A year of severe siatic pain down my right side all the way to my foot. To now, pain free back being a tradesman in less than two months. Without medication. Thank you Stephen.

I'm just now 6 weeks post surgery. The procedure was a spinal fusion of L5/S1 to reduce chronic and severe pain in my lower back, hip and leg. This is major surgery and requires the best of surgeon's to perform such an intrecate process. From my first meeting with Dr Byrne I was impressed by his clear and concise explanations of options and procedures. He has great empathy and genuine patient concern. I am now pain free, I haven't had to take pain medication for the past 3 weeks! I started back at the gym two weeks ago with light exercises and doing home gardening including mowing. Prior to surgery I was unable to get out of bed! Thanks Dr Byrne for giving me the opportunity of been able to live pain free and the ability to pursue activities I have missed for so long!
