Good little stop if you’re in the south coast area. The temples are very impressive, and they have a cafe on the ground level with vegetarian food. If you’d like to go inside the temple you will need to be dress modestly.

Been a volunteer there during Chinese New Year! Always a great place to visit during weekends and festivals! Can always find interesting things from the markets or from the exhibitions! Just FYI the gate of Nan Tien Institute has a lot of parking places and less people!

Buddhist temple with big area to go around and relax in nature Parking spots available inside and outside the gates but can get crowded on public holidays.Vegeterian food is available inside the premises both on ground floor and 2nd floor, there is another one near the uni but I didn't check it out ,but is expensive(especially on ground floor) and less quantity but great quality,so better to eat before going there.

Beautiful temple with lots of open space. Great to visit on a sunny day. Would recommend arriving early as it can get busy quickly with large groups arriving.

It will take a bit of time to explore there. Get a map on your mobile to visit their certain visit able halls. The wall full of Buddha and the Main Shrine is wonderful. Beyond the Shrine also there are other areas to visit and Nearby Art Gallery and Nan Tien Institute, a buffet restaurant is best place to eat. Try them.

Nan Tien Temple has a strikingly well-designed architecture, pleasing to the eye, packed with memorable moments in history. The temple also situates in a peaceful location, in the outer parts of Wollongong. However, there are also a few downsides. The place can get incredibly crowded, flooded with people at every turn. So, make sure you plan ahead before your trip. The meals that we've ordered in the Dew Drop Inn Tea House, in particular, is a disaster. There is room for improvement. We've placed an order for the Veg. Mince Noodle, the Curry Noodle and the Veg. Mince Rice. They're all astonishingly underseasoned, chewy and not very exciting to look at either. The costs are also extraordinarily high, and we didn't even get to enjoy the food in return due to how tasteless and plain as a paper they are. In addition to this, customer service and staff attitude could have been better! For the moment, overall, a solid 3/5.

Lovely temple with beautiful gardens and large open courtyards. The restaurant was nice with a decent variety of food options however lacked a lot of flavour in a few of the dishes especially the soup. The fake chicken though was very nice and crispy and I highly recommend.

A beautiful place to visit, gardens, temples and exhibitions are worth seeing. Lovely people and wholesome food. Participation is welcomed, light some incense, say a prayer and/or check out the museum. Always leave here feeling happy and calm. Nam Tien is a beautiful as it is spiritual .
