It's not often you get a perfectly done espresso . Often times it feels like an unpleasant ritual to force back burnt bitter viscous liquid all in the name of getting a caffeine fix. This espresso was one of those rare occasions where you catch a glimpse of what might have made espressos popular. An artisan product which somehow makes a velvety smooth nutty sweet treat from a bitter bean, which also happens to be chock full of caffeine goodness. I can recommend to anyone who questions the superiority of Coles brands like Moccona or Vitorria coffee. The shop and the peeps are nice too, so that's good.

The best cup of brown in town. The friendly staff will even print your name on the docket if you ask nicely. The docket makes for a great souvenir and I feel like I can taste that delicious brew every time I pull down my sun visor and look at it. Can't recommend this place enough.
Moving out from Melbourne, I have always been very particular with my coffee. Old Quarter Coffee Merchants is the place to be, indeed. Baristas and staff are lovely. Foods are divine. What I love most is (definitely) their coffee beans. I’m using Vietnam K’ho and.. I found the one!
Cripes: just had THE BEST avo on toast. Who knew there was still room to improve on this classic, but Old Quarter have smashed it out of the park. Plus, no compromise on the gluten free alternative. And obviously, the coffee was amazing too. Thanks, guys!!!
