We’re a creative bunch of business professionals, sportsmen and sportswomen who’ve collectively come together to form DISPLACE; an innovative community designed to empower individuals affected by physical disability to recognise and pursue their entrepreneurial selves, form social connections and ultimately gain social and financial independence. Our aim is to increase self-employment and social inclusion among people affected by physical disability through entrepreneurship. To achieve this, we run innovative Think Tanks, using entrepreneurship to connect individuals affected by physical disability with the wider-community. DISPLACE Think Tanks, filled with entrepreneurial intent, allow like-minded individuals to meet, build relationships, support and leverage from each other with the ultimate goal of motivating one another to see entrepreneurship as a realistic self-employment opportunity. As a community-based not-for-profit organisation, we are working towards our ultimate goal; to build an open and accessible place of our own. A purpose-built community space filled with entrepreneurial intent and fitting resources, operated by individuals with physical disability, for people affected by physical disability.
