A small saltmarsh that is irrigated by the Cooks River. Despite the horrendously polluted river, the saltmarsh does support transient populations of many wading and other smaller water reliant birds. I have never seen another human there, which is refreshing (excluding the adjacent cycleway). My only gripe with the place is the somewhat irrationally placed "Air Traffic Monitoring" building, which is occasionally 75% surrounded by salty water. This building could be turned into a bird watchers hide to reduce human impact. You may expect to see, depending on the time of year: - Pied Stilt - Chestnut Teal, Grey Teal - Australian White Ibis - Latham's Snipe - Reed Warbler - Red-necked Avocet - Various Dotterels and Sandpipers

Apart from some stagent water below the freeway no wetlands visible from the cycleway.
Presentation needs occasional attention.
