Last night we went on the 2 hour ghost tour of Arndale Asylum. After a mix up with the meeting place David sorted us out to join the next tour and I'm so glad this happened because our tour guide Ms Crimson was absolutely fantastic. She captivated us with her knowledge and made it a memorable experience

Just did the Ballarat city and the cemetary over 2 nights, love them all we keep coming back. Have done Aradale, loved that the most. The more experience and knowledge the guides have the better the tour usually is.

If I could rate it more than 5 star, I would in no doubt! This place is huge and it was very pleasant to visit under the guidance of John. I especially loved the stories and jokes John told us along the tour. I can tell that he is emotionally attached to the asylum. In fact, all 3 tour guides seemed to be retirees in the local area. I have so much respect for them doing something meaningful for their community! So I hope more tourists could come and visit this "mysterious" historical site. You won't be disappointed! One small suggestion for the gift shop - it would be better to display all the merchandises in one location such as a shelf or cabinet for tourists to browse. As when I walked in, I felt it was more like an admin office than a gift shop.

Great female tour guide who was informative throughout the 2 hour tour and made it fun and a little scary on occasions. The only unfortunate downfall in our tour group was we had a skinny tall male wearing a Nike t-shirt and cap who had an IQ of 2. He kept swearing and making silly remarks throughout the whole tour and thought he was funny and thought people were laughing with him but we were all laughing at him because he was extremely simple and an absolute drop kick. The ideal situation would have been to leave him behind where he totally fit in, The Mental Aradale Asylum.

I and my friends have done the two hour tour several times each time bringing other friends and also the 6 hour paranormal tour which was Amazing with Morgan. We did the 2 hour tour last weekend and was disappointed that the tour was incomplete due to a medical emergency and we were rushed through the second half of the tour and totally missed seeing the morgue and no photo at the final stage before being let out the gate so not really impressed as it was more of a history lesson than a ghost tour than we have seen in the past. this time was definitely not the great experience that we have had in the past unfortunately. previous tour guides have definitely been more animated and immersed in the role they were playing which was delightful.
