Exceptionally well run course. It is clear that the staff have been carefully selected. There is a very consistent approach from all instructors, which is one that is very reassuring (either in a soft or firm approach depending on what they see is required). They nail this every time! I got everything I wanted out of the course and more. I felt a great sense of achievement, but I have also gone away unfulfilled as I know I have plenty to work on, but I now have all the skills & knowledge I need to continue to grow as a free diver. To Lucas, Jarred, Arty & Alan, thank you all for a great weekend. If you are looking to do a free diving course, this is the one and these are the guys you want to do it with!

I thoroughly recommend this course. Our instructors, Alan and Arty are great guys, and did a fantastic job of training us. They dealt patiently with our various requirements, providing one on one help with any problems we had individually. The training stretches your boundaries, while stressing safety and teamwork. By the third day, we had all achieved things we hadn’t thought possible and felt really bonded to the group. Just amazing! Thanks guys!

A thoroughly amazing weekend and we all felt very safe in the hands of our instructor Alan and assistant trainer Artie. Great fun, all in a relaxed jovial environment and they brought out the best in all of us. Highly recommended. Feel the fear and do it anyway.

We recently had the amazing opportunity to join the AIDA 2 course with Lucas Handley. Our group consisted of inexperienced individuals that were keen to learn about the world of freediving. Over the 2.5 day course, we became immersed in this amazing sport (including learning about the dangers of trying to freedive without training!). Along the way, each of us also encountered individual challenges and hurdles that we had to learn to overcome. Throughout the course, Lucas guided us through these challenges by showing his vast knowledge, experience and boundless patience ... all the while keeping things light-hearted and fun! We would wholeheartedly recommend this course for anyone interested in taking the 'plunge' into world of freediving!

Great experience with the team from The Underwater Academy. From the well structured and delivered theory and intro from Lucas to the ocean sessions with Alan and Arty. They both delivered the information and knowledge really well. They were professional, thoughtful and also great fun. Took the time to correct in a constructive manner whilst also coaching through progression at the individual level. The smaller class size really facilitated greater time with an instructor. Great stuff, recommend.

Lucas is an extremely skilful diver with a wealth of knowledge to share with his students. The course will leave you with a skill-set to evolve your life, both in and out of the water. Lucas has a high level of patience and will take the time to ensure all the concepts are well understood. Highly recommended!

Just attended the AIDA level 2 course ran by Alan and Arty. The level of competency both instructors have was amazing, their ability to keep everyone safe but challenge us all individually was amazing. I’m signing up for the next course with these guys and would recommend it to anyone of any level who wants more competency and knowledge in the water. Ps - you can tell they have a seriously high level of ability
