A perfectly good, honest Chinese takeaway made by perfectly good honest local people. There's certainly nothing fancy about the place and I've never eaten in. It's obviously a small family business with Mum doing front of house and I assume Dad is cooking out the back. To be honest, dining in would seem like a bit of an imposition. The takeaway food quality however is right up there with the best Chinese I have had. It's always fresh and tasty comprised of good quality ingredients an it's completely consistent every time. Love the little touches like snipping the corner off the lid of the takeaway containers of their fried foods and serving the sauce separately so that it maintains it's crispness. All in all, they are excellent at what they do.

Second time I've tried Aldgate Chinese, and unfortunately it is again a disappointment. The first time I've had burnt crunchy noodles, and that burnt flavour was throughout all deep-fried dishes. The fried rice had only one prawn, mostly bean sprouts, with little of anything else. The best dish was the chicken and sweet corn soup. Previously we also had issues with deep fried dishes, and seafood being overcooked and dry, however that time the fried rice was of a better standard. Aldgate is the only Chinese in the area, otherwise you have to go to Blackwood or Mount Barker. It would be nice if this restaurant brought up its standards to be inline with those restaurants, especially considering they are cheaper, and also offer free prawn chips, banquets etc. I think from now I will drive the distance.

Wing does a great job here. Food has always been good and she is lovely. Dining in is always good as it's quiet.

The last few weeks we've been surprised how good the food is. We used to order form here because it was handy to home, now the food is also pretty good. Must have a fairly new chef as the flavour and quality have improved so much!

Same, said order would be 40 mins then arrive to pick up they hadn't started cooking and host lady was in pain with stomach pains. Forget it!
