Absolute rip off merchants, steer clear !!! I wanted to support local business in my area so i employed their services to do a job. 3 week wait but that is understandable it is summer, cost 99 call out including 20min diag then charged 55 for half hour labour 154. This was made up of 20min to look at the units and then another 30min in his van writing up 2 exhorbitant quotes ! Charged half an hour labour for 2 quotes... Then told that he would not be able to carry out the job on the day because he does not carry the necessary equipment to check for a leak in the system, when i asked why i was told that it costs him 50 cents a day to have a bottle of nitrogen in his van so he onlt gets a bottle per day on a job by job basis.. That's great a fridgy that can't check for a leak on site unless he knows you have one and can pre plan. To add insult to injury the quote to re-gas the unit was 715.00 which included another call out fee, i questioned this as i had taken a day off work to have this done, he could not do it on the day as he did not have the equipment, then wants to waste my time to take another day off work and charge me to come out again... Are you serious !!! I was told that is how it is but if i wanted to have that done and another unit he quoted on replacing a part for another 700 ( that mind you he couldn't guarantee would fix it ) he would waive the second call out fee, how generous... The one thing i can give PK air systems top marks for is that even though they can't hold equipment to do their job because of a 50 cent a day charge they do carry the very latest in wireless eftpos technology that is readily available to take your money for doing nothing....
