The 1770 Distillery is a darling little gem. The owner conducts short tasting sessions whenever people arrive. In January 2021, there were four fruit liqueurs to try. If you're looking for a fun, brief activity in Agnes Water or a nice boutique gift, the 1770 distillery is for you!

What a fantastic hidden gem! Lovely little distillery. Highly recommend a visit! We popped by with our children (11 and 8) not sure if they'd be allowed in but there was noone else there and John welcomed us all with a smile on arrival. He proceeded to offer the adults free tasters and went on to tell us all about the process and the products. Fascinating! The kids were also entertained as he talks about the process of getting colours from different fruits. We were only there maybe 30 mins but I could have listened to John all day. He has such a passion and it really shows in both his hosting and his products. We bought 2 bottles (very reasonably priced) then took a walk through the nursery. If we were not so far from home with so much luggage I'd have bought plants too! Woki the dog was super cute but a little shy. Thanks so much John. Keep living the dream!
